The English Department of J.H.A. Agarsen College caters to the academic needs of the students by providing effective coaching for part–II English course. Various papers coming under the Soft Skills course are also handled by the English Department. Seminars and internal tests are regularly conducted for the betterment of the students. Being a decade old Department, it caters to the growing needs of this ever-growing institution.

The English Literary Association conducts various competitions to enhance the English knowledge of the students. Students are also frequently sent to participate in competitions conducted by the English Department of other city colleges. They represent the English Department of J.H.A. Agarsen College and bring laurels to this institution.
